“KOFFIE brings the world of pop- and jazz music together!”
With the release of two studio albums back in 2013, the Dutch band KOFFIE gave a kick-start to their musical career. Ever since then the band has been touring non-stop and building a live reputation for themselves, which has been recognized all across Europe. KOFFIE is a band that can both impress and inspire!
With their virtuous improvisations and catchy afro beat-grooves, the band knows how to throw a party. This helped them to play prestigious festivals such as North Sea Jazz Festival in The Netherlands – where the band performed alongside giants such as Stevie Wonder, Nile Rodgers and Outkast -, Blue Balls Festival in Switzerland and Polé Polé Festival in Belgium.
KOFFIE’s sound is unique and therefore hard to narrow down in to one specific genre. The combination of afro beat, pop, funk and jazz create a surprising blend of influences that make KOFFIE to a band that can remove boundaries and bring worlds together!
Apart from their rapidly growing live reputation, KOFFIE imposed with their debut singles Kyrie Aye and Éh Lady – who both achieved airplay on various radio and television stations in The Netherlands.
After three years of intensively touring, the band started recording their new album Huntu, which will be released through V2 Records on the 26th of May 2017. KOFFIE has strengthened their groove machine with two extra band members to add even more depth to their sound. The first single Mama Deo from the upcoming album Huntu was released on the 24th of March and was very well received on many international streaming services and radio- and television stations in Holland.
